Eligibility criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
have submitted a complete application to the MSc Sustainable Energy Futures programme
be active in your local and/or faith community and show a desire to develop intellectual skills in a multi-faith or secular environment
show a long-term commitment to community or societal development, including promoting good relations through public leadership
be Zakat eligible, in financial need, and unable to cover the cost of tuition fees
have a strong understanding of the sustainable energy industry and how to progress within it, supported by relevant experience and/or achievements
show how the programme will help you create positive social impact
be a UK national and eligible for Home fee status at the University
submit a supporting statement of no more than 1,000 words explaining how you meet the criteria and how you hope to use the scholarship in your future work
Please note: This scholarship is available to new entrants only. Students already studying the course are not eligible.
Course specific information
This scholarship is available for students applying to the MSc Sustainable Energy Futures programme.
Application process
To apply for this scholarship, you must first submit a complete application to the MSc Sustainable Energy Futures programme.
You must then submit a supporting statement of no more than 1,000 words explaining how you meet the scholarship criteria and how you hope to use the scholarship in your future work.
Additional information
This scholarship offers an opportunity for an exceptional Muslim student who is active in British Muslim communities and interested in building understanding across different parts of British society.
The successful student will be able to contribute to wider society while also bringing new knowledge and experience back to their community, helping to build greater mutual understanding and a more cohesive society.
