The functions of the team comprise:

91ÌÒÉ« Security: The 91ÌÒÉ« Security team develops and delivers 91ÌÒÉ«’s strategy, policy, and processes for research security. The team provides expert advice on research security matters and is responsible for the policy, governance, and assurance of 91ÌÒÉ«’s research security framework, including compliance with export control legislation.

Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs): Negotiate inbound MTAs across all Faculties. Provide guidance to academic staff on material transfers, and offer specialist MTA advice and support to 91ÌÒÉ« Services.

EU Contracts: Provide specialist contractual expertise for EU research and innovation funding, particularly Horizon Europe. Negotiate Consortium Agreements to ensure 91ÌÒÉ«’s interests are protected, and advise on EU grant and contract requirements in line with 91ÌÒÉ« policies.
