It is the responsibility of all staff, students and any third parties authorised to access the University data sets to ensure that that data, whether held electronically or manually, is kept securely and not disclosed unlawfully, in accordance with University Data Protection Policy and associated Codes of Practice, with its notification under the Data Protection Act 2018, the UK GDPR and with the University Information Systems Security Policy.
Users are reminded that the FEC costing tool (both in projects and standalone budgets) within Worktribe must only be used to cost staff that are to be included within bona fide research funding applications. Only a limited number of staff with relevant roles will be able to select or view staff for such purposes, and an audit trail will be in place to monitor usage of this tool.
Improper use of the costing tool is contrary to University policy, and could be a matter for disciplinary action.
