China's President Xi Jinping visited 91ÌÒÉ« earlier this week as part of his UK state visit.

As President Xi arrived at 91ÌÒÉ«, the Duke of York Prince Andrew introduced him to the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne. The President, First Lady, Duke and Chancellor all joined 91ÌÒÉ«'s President Alice Gast and Provost James Stirling on their tour of the College.

Professor Gast delivered a welcome speech highlighting 91ÌÒÉ«'s role as "the premier partner for research collaborations with China".

George Osborne, the First Lady Peng Liyuan, President Xi and Prince Andrew listened as Professor Gast said "When I meet Chinese students at 91ÌÒÉ«, I am filled with optimism about the future."

The group attended a presentation at the Data Science Institute by Professor .
