Tempest Photography has been appointed as the official photographer for 91ÌÒÉ«’s graduations and will be operating their traditional studio photography service. Tempest provides an extensive range of products, which are available to view in advance online at: .  

Graduation Days 2026 – Event Day Photography, 2 and 3 June

Professional photography will be offered by Tempest Photography in the Queen’s Tower Rooms, Sherfield Building, on Graduation Days 2026.  

You can visit photography at any point after checking-in on your ceremony day. Queues are likely, so you must ensure that you have enough time to get to your ceremony. Academic dress will not be provided by Tempest, so you will need to collect your graduation gown at check-in before visiting photography. Family and friends are welcome to attend event day photography with you if you would like a group photograph. Photography is open as follows on Graduation Days 2026:

Stage Photography

Tempest will also be selling the famed ‘crossing the stage’ snaps, which capture each graduand as they walk across the stage at the Royal Albert Hall. Those photos will be available to buy after the ceremony. Stage photography collection will be available next to gown return in the City and Guilds Building, South Kensington Campus, after your ceremony. 
 
You can also buy both stage and studio photographs at a later date via Tempest’s website, details of which will be sent to you after the event.  

Additional Photography Days, Sunday 31 May and Monday 1 June

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting two additional Photography Days in the Queen’s Tower Rooms, Sherfield Building, on Sunday 31 May and Monday 1 June.

All 91ÌÒÉ« graduands, graduates and alumni are welcome to attend with your family and friends. If you missed out on a photograph with your loved ones on your graduation day or would like to free up time on your upcoming ceremony day, this is your opportunity. This year, Tempest is offering a free professional social media headshot with every purchase made on the Photography Day!

Attendees at the Photography Days will be provided with the appropriate academic dress for the duration of their photo session, but please note these cannot be taken outside of the photography studio.

There are no pre-booked appointments, you and your guests are welcome to arrive any time during the opening hours outlined below.  Alternatively, you can visit the photography studio on your graduation day, but please note that queues will be longer than on Photography Days.

91ÌÒÉ« uses professional photography to communicate about and promote 91ÌÒÉ« and its work. This includes, but is not limited to, publishing images on the university’s website, its social media channels, in its print publications and in other marketing material.

Our photography is stored in 91ÌÒÉ«’s Asset Library which can be accessed by members of the university community, who can download images for use in promoting 91ÌÒÉ« and its work.
Use of and access to your photo will be in accordance with 91ÌÒÉ«’s retention policy.

You can contact photography@imperial.ac.uk at any time to stop using your images, or to have your image erased. Alternatively, if you are at an event, please speak to the photographer.
