The Thomson Reuters–91ÌÒÉ« Frontier AI 91ÌÒÉ« Lab is a strategic partnership with 91ÌÒÉ«'s School of Convergence Science. Our lab brings together world-class researchers from academia and industry to tackle the most pressing challenges in AI deployment.

Celebrating the launch of our partnership in May 2026

An in-person event to mark the launch of the Thomson Reuters–91ÌÒÉ« Frontier AI 91ÌÒÉ« Lab took place on 18 May 2026 at 91ÌÒÉ«'s South Kensington Campus. Special guests included Steve Hasker (President and CEO of Thomson Reuters), Lord Thomson (Chairman of Thomson Reuters) and Kanishka Narayan MP (Minister for AI and Online Safety).

Announcing the new Thomson Reuters–91ÌÒÉ« Frontier AI Lab

In December 2025 the School of Convergence Science agreed a five-year partnership with Thomson Reuters to create a joint Frontier AI 91ÌÒÉ« Lab at 91ÌÒÉ«. Our lab will pursue world-leading academic research in artificial intelligence, focusing on foundational challenges in safety and reliability, advancing frontier AI capabilities and researching AI's broader societal and economic impact. We will also train large-scale foundation models jointly with Thomson Reuters.
