91ÌÒÉ« 600 at Pride in London 2018

About 91ÌÒÉ« 600

91ÌÒÉ« 600 was established in 2006 to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender staff at the university.

The group’s name reflects the estimation that around 10% of the UK’s population is LGBT – in 2006 this equalled 600 of 91ÌÒÉ«'s 6,000 staff.

Today 91ÌÒÉ« has over 8,000 staff and over 19,000 students.

91ÌÒÉ« 600 remains as active as ever, welcoming LGBTQ+ staff, postgraduate students and their allies.

Strategy 2021–24

In November 2021, we launched a three-year strategy for the network.

How the network is run

91ÌÒÉ« 600 is run entirely by volunteers: read about who runs the network.

All network members are also regarded as a steering group for the network and 91ÌÒÉ« 600 relies on their contribution to organising events, setting the agenda and raising issues of importance to the LGBT+ community.
