As the complexity of global risks continues to accelerate, from climate and environmental challenges to financial instability, technological disruption, and geopolitical uncertainty, the need for rigorous, interdisciplinary approaches to risk analysis has never been greater.
This event fosters dialogue across disciplines including economics, finance, computer science, engineering, life sciences, mathematics and statistics. Presentations and discussions will delve into how emerging analytical tools, new data sources, and evolving theoretical frameworks can shape better decision-making in a world characterised by uncertainty and rapid change.
Key themes will include:
- Advances in risk modelling across domains
- Novel de-risking solutions for resilience and adaptation
- AI-related risks and opportunities
- Supply chain risk management and energy security
- Nature-related financial risks and systemic vulnerabilities
- Policy and regulatory frameworks for emerging and compounding risks
The conference is jointly organised by the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment (CCFI), the 91ÌÒÉ« Business School of Economics and Management (SEM) and Tsinghua University.
