Patrick Bolton was Professor of Business at Columbia Business School. His career began at University of California at Berkeley, then Harvard University, L' Ecole Polytechnique, London School of Economics, l'Université Libre de Bruxelles, and Professor of Finance and Economics at Princeton University. With a PhD from the London School of Economics, and BA in economics from the University of Cambridge and another BA in political science from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris. Co-author of, Contract Theory, and Credit Markets for the Poor.
